NDIS Physio Liverpool NSW

NDIS Physiotherapy in Liverpool. Use your funding the way it was meant to be used.

Plan-managed and self-managed participants welcome. Adults and kids. No waitlist. We treat NDIS clients the same way we treat every other patient: proper assessment, an honest plan and the time you actually need.

NDIS at Rehab N Run, in plain English

We see NDIS participants every week at our Hume Highway clinic in Liverpool. Most of them come to us because their previous physio rushed them, kept them on the books too long, or stuck to one passive treatment session after another without progressing them. NDIS funding is too precious to waste on that.

What you get from us is the same physio our private patients get: a proper 60-minute first appointment, a written plan with clear goals, exercises sent to your phone with video demos, and follow-ups that actually progress your loading. No upsells, no padded sessions, and we'll discharge you when you've met your goals, not when your plan runs out.

What we can fund through your NDIS plan

Physiotherapy is most commonly funded under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living (CB - IDL), specifically under the support item "Assessment, Recommendation, Therapy or Training – Physiotherapy". Some participants also access physio through Improved Health and Wellbeing supports. If you're not sure what's in your plan, ask your plan manager or support coordinator and they'll be able to tell you straight away.

What we cover under that funding:

  • Initial assessment. 60 minutes. Full body screen, conversation about your goals, and a written treatment plan you can share with your plan manager and support coordinator.
  • One-on-one physio sessions. 30 or 60 minutes, hands-on treatment plus structured exercise loading, in our clinic gym.
  • Home exercise programs. Sent to your phone with video demos so you (or your support worker) can follow along between sessions.
  • Progress reports. For plan reviews, support coordinator updates, or to share with your GP and other practitioners.
  • Equipment recommendations and reports. If you need a mobility aid, brace or assistive device prescribed.
  • Communication with your support team. Time spent liaising with your support coordinator, plan manager, OT, GP or specialist is billable to your plan at the NDIS rate, when relevant to your goals.

Plan management types we accept

Three different participants can use NDIS funding differently. Here's where we fit:

  • Plan-managed participants — yes. Your plan manager pays our invoices directly. You just turn up and book in. This is the simplest path.
  • Self-managed participants — yes. You pay us at the time of service, we provide a paid invoice with all the NDIS line items, and you claim back through the NDIS portal.
  • NDIA-managed (agency-managed) participants — not currently. Agency-managed funding can only be used with NDIS-registered providers and we're not currently registered with the NDIA. If you're agency-managed and want to see us, ask your support coordinator about requesting a plan management change at your next review.

What we treat under NDIS

Our NDIS caseload at Liverpool covers a wide range of presentations across both adult and paediatric participants:

Adults

  • Chronic musculoskeletal pain (back, neck, knee, hip, shoulder)
  • Post-injury rehabilitation, including motor accident and workplace injuries
  • Post-surgical rehab (knee replacement, hip replacement, ACL, rotator cuff, fracture fixation)
  • Mobility and gait retraining after stroke, neurological conditions or extended deconditioning
  • Falls prevention and balance training for older participants
  • Strength and conditioning for participants with intellectual disability or chronic illness
  • Pain management programs for fibromyalgia, chronic regional pain syndrome and persistent back pain

Kids

  • Gross motor delay and coordination difficulties
  • Post-orthopaedic surgery (limb lengthening, scoliosis, tendon lengthening, fracture management)
  • Sports injuries in school-age and teenage athletes
  • Strength, endurance and mobility goals for kids with neurological or developmental conditions
  • Bracing and orthotic education for parents

How a typical NDIS journey at Rehab N Run looks

1. The first phone call or online booking

You book online or call us. We confirm your plan management type, your goals (in your own words) and book you in. There's usually a same-week appointment available.

2. Initial assessment (60 minutes)

Your first appointment is 60 minutes. We take the time to understand the full picture: your history, your goals, what's worked before, what hasn't, and what your day-to-day life actually looks like. You leave the session with a diagnosis, hands-on treatment already underway, a written exercise plan, and a clear sense of how many sessions we'll likely need.

3. The treatment block

Follow-ups are typically 30 or 60 minutes depending on what your goals need. We progress your exercises, adjust your load, and report back to your plan manager and support coordinator as often as is useful.

4. Plan review support

When your plan review comes up, we can provide a written progress report summarising the work, the gains, and any recommendations for the next plan. Plan managers and support coordinators tell us our reports are easy to use because we write them in plain English with concrete outcome measures.

"Keep it simple. Trust the process." Same approach, whether you're a club runner, post-op patient or NDIS participant. The work doesn't change because the funding source did.

What we charge

We charge the standard NDIS Price Guide rate for physiotherapy (current rate set by the NDIA and updated each financial year). There's no gap fee on top of that, and no hidden admin charges. Your plan manager is invoiced directly (plan-managed) or you receive a paid NDIS-compliant invoice you can claim through the portal (self-managed).

If your plan also funds reports, communication with your support team, or attendance at planning meetings, we can bill those line items at the NDIS rate too, where they're relevant to your goals.

Areas we serve

Our clinic is on Hume Highway in Liverpool, NSW 2170. We see NDIS participants from Liverpool, Casula, Holsworthy, Moorebank, Chipping Norton, Cabramatta, Lurnea, Warwick Farm, Green Valley, Hoxton Park, and the wider South-West Sydney region.

Common NDIS questions

How do I know if physio is in my plan?

Look in your plan document under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living for a line item that mentions physiotherapy or "Therapeutic Supports". If you're plan-managed, your plan manager can tell you the exact dollar amount available for physio. If you're self-managed, you can see it in the NDIS participant portal.

I don't have a support coordinator. Can I still book?

Yes. You don't need a support coordinator to access physio. You just need to be plan-managed or self-managed, and physiotherapy needs to be included in your plan.

Can my support worker come into the appointment?

Of course. Many of our adult NDIS participants bring a support worker, family member or carer into sessions, especially when we're teaching exercises the support worker will need to help with at home. We welcome this and it makes our work more effective.

Do you write reports for plan reviews?

Yes. We provide written progress reports for plan reviews, support coordinator requests and NDIS reassessments. Reports are charged at the NDIS rate against your plan's funding.

What if my plan runs out of physio funding mid-treatment?

We'll always be honest about how many sessions you're likely to need before we start. If you do run short, we have a few options: pause treatment until your next plan, continue at our private fee, or in some cases request a plan variation through your support coordinator. We'll never let you blow your funding without giving you the heads-up first.
